Tens of thousands of first-time buyers are to get a 20%
discount off the cost of their new homes under the Government’s Starter Home
initiative launched by the Prime Minister. Aspiring home owners will be asked
to register their interest in buying via the initiative from the start of next
year – at least six months earlier than planned – and 100,000 homes will be
available. Work on the first raft of homes will start next year and developers
and councils are being asked to respond to the proposals to ensure the changes
will unlock a range of sites across the country. Read more on the Housing
Excellence website.
