Four in 10 landlords (40%) in the private rented sector
(PRS) say they plan to raise rents in 2015, a poll has revealed. And with
almost three in 10 PRS landlords planning to increase rents by more than 3%,
56% of tenants claim they will be forced to find alternative accommodation if
their rent is increased by just £40 a month. According to SpareRoom.co.uk’s
survey, 97% of renters in shared accommodation believe the government isn’t
