The Church of England, one of the country’s biggest
landowners, needs to put its house in order and sell off some of its land in
response to Britain’s housing crisis, according to a newly released report. The
radical move is being proposed by the Centre for Theology & Community, and
the Christian campaigning group Housing Justice. They warn that the shortage of
affordable housing poses a fundamental threat to the shape of Britain’s
communities and cities. When it comes to tackling the housing problem, it needs
