One group who will be happy that taxpayers money will now
pay for developers to build houses are those who run the companies themselves.
Coincidentally, some of those companies, and the people that run them, have
been rather generous donors to the Conservative Party over the years. According
to the Electoral Commission website, since 2001 at least £4million has flowed
in the Tory coffers from businesses such as Wates Group, Aggregate Industries
