House prices have risen by another £2,623 on average
across England and Wales but the regions have fragmented into buyers' and
sellers' markets. The average price of a property coming on to the market this
month is up 0.9 per cent compared to last, hitting £309,122. Prices have
started to rise again as sellers target buyers shaking off the lull, which is
generally seen during the summer months, but was heightened this year by the
uncertainty caused by the EU referendum. The price rises of the two most-recent
months mean that the average asking price across England and Wales is once
again just £1,349 shy of the record reached in June earlier this year. Read
