The Home Office has undertaken a range of work to raise
awareness of what ‘county lines’ and associated criminal exploitation is. Working
in partnership with CrimeStoppers, a series of promotional material has been
developed to support frontline staff, letting agents and landlords to
understand the signs to look for in potential victims, and what to do about it.
The materials are said to support the cross-government approach to ending gang
violence and exploitation and work to deal with ‘county lines’ – where urban
drug dealers expand their activity to small town markets. Read more on
