Regulator Confirms Plans For £14.7m In RP Fees Amid 15% Rate Hike

The RSH published updated guidance to its policy on fees in February 2020, confirming the increased charges to regulatory fees, which were originally introduced after statutory consultation in 2016. The English regulator had proposed a £2.8m increase to its total budget, which would be paid for through £2m collected via the fee increases and £805,000 through additional grant-in-aid from the government. The new guidance confirms that the fee level for registered providers with 1,000 homes or more will be £5.42 per social housing unit in 2020/21, up from £4.72 in 2019/20.
