The RSH published updated guidance to its policy on fees
in February 2020, confirming the increased charges to regulatory fees, which
were originally introduced after statutory consultation in 2016. The English
regulator had proposed a £2.8m increase to its total budget, which would be
paid for through £2m collected via the fee increases and £805,000 through
additional grant-in-aid from the government. The new guidance confirms that the
fee level for registered providers with 1,000 homes or more will be £5.42 per
social housing unit in 2020/21, up from £4.72 in 2019/20. Read more on the
