The Government has agreed to look at introducing two new clauses in the Localism Bill that would close loopholes in housing law in a bid to get tough on council house fraudsters. Labour tabled two new clauses to the Localism Bill during its passage through the Commons, which would close loopholes in the system giving councils the power to take homes away from people who 'play the system'. It's understood the Government could look at creating the amendments in the House of Lords. Read more on 24dash.
