Council to Build Over 550 Homes for Private Rental Sector

Telford & Wrekin Council is planning to build more than 550 homes over the next three years - exclusively for the private rented sector.  The council has said that it has identified a "significant commercial opportunity", with work likely to start by 2014.  The council has said that the venture will provide it with a "valuable new income". As well as rental income from the homes and apartments, the scheme will also earn the council extra New Homes Bonus from the government. Read more on the Telford and Wrekin website.
