New Tenants to Sign 'Aspiration Agreement'

Yarlington Housing Group's sHaPe project requires residents to sign up to their own personalised 'Household Ambition Plan' when they enter into their tenancy agreement.  It asks questions such as Do you want to return to work? Gain a qualification? Learn how to better manage your money? Quit smoking? Learn to cook healthy meals or lose weight? Prospective tenants have to agree to participate before they are considered for a tenancy. Yarlington no longer offers lifetime tenancies to new tenants and instead offers seven-year fixed-term tenancies, with the sHAPe project forming part of the agreement.
The Somerset-based housing provider will consider the progress against the plan when reviewing tenancy renewal at the end of the seven-year tenure. Read more on the Yarlington website.
