First Build To Rent Deal Agreed

The government has agreed the first contract under its build to rent fund, which supports homes for private rent.  The £3.5 million deal will fund 102 homes for private rent that will be built as part of the £500 million Centenary Quay project in Southampton. As well as the £3.5 million for private rent, the government is also putting in £2 million to deliver 72 affordable homes and £1.96 million of Get Britain building funding to support 56 homes.  Build to rent is a £1 billion fund to support private rented sector homes. Funding is issued in the form of loans or investments, and is fully recoverable.  Read more on Inside Housing.
