HouseMark's sixth annual report of findings from anti-social
behaviour (ASB) benchmarking found that 143 landlords, managing 1.4 million
homes, recorded over 95,000 ASB cases - estimating the total number of cases in
England and Wales to be in the region of 300,000 per year. Other key findings from this year's report
include:
*managing ASB costs social landlords £325m a year
*noise is social tenants' biggest ASB complaint - one third
of all cases
*letters resolve one in five ASB cases
*social landlords halt ASB in nine out of ten cases
*social landlords employ up 5,000 FTE staff to tackle ASB
